Top Subj: Why
Sharks Circle You Before Attacking (S713b)
From: redcatt on 9/9/2010
Two great white sharks swimming
in the ocean spied survivors
of a sunken ship. "Follow
me son!" the father shark said to
the son shark and they swam
to the mass of people.
"First we swim around them a
few times with just the tip of
our fins showing." And they
did.
"Well done, son! Now we
swim around them a few times with
all of our fins showing." And
they did.
"Now we eat everybody!" And they
did.
When they were both gorged, the
son asked, "Dad, why didn't
we just eat them all at first?
Why did we swim around and
around them?"
His wise father replied, "Because
they taste better without
the crap inside!"

Top Sub: Whale
Caught In Crab Traps (S481c)
From: Joke-Of-The-Day-Mail.com on 4/11/2006
This is a true story and NOT
a joke.
In the San Francisco Chronicle,
December 2005, you would have
read about a female humpback
whale who had become entangled in
a web of crab traps and lines.
The fifty-foot whale was
weighted down by hundreds of
pounds of traps that caused her
to struggle to stay afloat.
She also had hundreds of yards of
line rope wrapped around her
tail, her torso and a line tugging
in her mouth.
A fisherman spotted her just
east of a local island chain and
called an environmental group
for help. Within a few hours,
the rescue team arrived and
determined that she was so bad off,
the only way to save her was
to dive in and untangle her - a
very dangerous proposition.
One slap of the tail could kill a
rescuer.
They worked for hours with curved
knives and eventually freed
her. When she was free,
the divers say she swam in what seemed
like joyous circles. She
then came back to each and every diver,
one at a time, and nudged them,
pushed them gently around - she
thanked them. Some said
it was the most incredibly beautiful
experience of their lives.
The guy who cut the rope out of her
mouth says her eye was following
him the whole time, and he will
never be the same.
May you, and all those you love,
be so blessed and fortunate
this year-to be surrounded by
people who will help you get
untangled from the things that
are binding you..

My brother found this white tail
deer alone and malnourished
when it was a tiny baby.
My family bottle-fed the baby,
named Theen, until he was eating
grass. Several months later
he's very socialized with people,
our black lab, and our cats.
He is free to wander if he likes
and we've seen him with
several herds of whitetail and
axis deer. Apparently he fits
in just fine with them.
He frequently comes back to the house
to eat some cat food and play
with our dog, Buddy. He doesn't
care much for deer corn.
