John Coppes, 26, was
arrested Dec. 13 in his neighbor’s horse pen.
A 13-year-old girl
said she saw Coppes with her Anatolian shepherd.
Coppes was also charged
with abusing the girl’s small Palomino horse.
John R. Coppes pleaded
guilty and was sentenced in Polk County Circuit
Court to one year
in jail. Coppes was also ordered to pay a $500 fine
and $100 in court
costs.
