During my research
for this page, I hit several interesting items.
1. Gene's list has
evolved with time. You can view

BRIDGE;
Californians Defeat
Texans To Win National Team Title
The first major event
at the American Contract Bridge League's Summer Nationals ended here on
Saturday night in a convincing victory for a California squad. Fred Hamilton
of Fresno, Mark Itabashi of Murrieta, Gene Simpson of Redlands, Jon Wittes
of Claremont and Ross Grabel of Huntington won the Grand National Team
Championship.
3. Gene's wife wrote
a book
Behold,
the Bridegroom Cometh (Paperback)
by B.
Graham Simpson

4. I've only met Gene
once, but he seems to be a nice, down to earth
guy.
Gene gave a 30 minute bridge lesson at the Bridge Center in
Pleasant
Hill in which he handed out his 25 rules. His rules
impressed
me enough to make this page.
